The Printworks Warwick

Building developers, Jessup joined forces with Platform Housing Group and Warwick District Council to create The Printworks, a modern apartment building in Warwick.

The old printworks on the corner of Bowling Green Street and Theatre Street was brought down and replaced with a modern apartment building.

The Printworks Apartments

Designed by IDP Architects, The Printworks resulted from the requirement to remove a derelict building from the Warwick conservation area.

The derelict building was replaced with 21st Century, affordable apartments, remaining sympathetic to the ambience and heritage of the area. 

The site presented several challenges through its location in a conservation area.

The priority was to remain sympathetic to the town's heritage while creating high-quality apartments.

Sourcing Sustainable Building Products

Jessup Brothers contacted Stewarts Plumbing and Heating to source a modern aluminium rainwater system for the project.

After careful consideration, Stewarts Plumbing and Heating recommended ARP's 125 x 91mm Sentinel Beaded Deepflow Half Round Gutter and ARP's 76mm Colonnade Cast Collar Circular Rainwater Pipe.

The slate grey aluminium guttering system is perfect for the look of the building.

ARP's Sentinel aluminium gutters were paired with Colonnade aluminium downpipes to complement the aesthetic of the building.

This strong and durable aluminium rainwater system is fully recyclable and non-corrosive.

In total, 270 metres of Sentinel Deepflow Gutter and 190 metres of Colonnade cast-collared rainwater pipe were used to complete The Printworks development.

Warwick District Council has successfully provided sustainable housing in the heart of Warwick.
