The Vicarage

The Vicarage and its grounds on Richard Avenue in Brightlingsea was in need of rejuvenation. Some of the land to the side of the vicarage (formerly the site of the old church hall) was cleared and planning permission granted for three new detached homes and garages. One of these houses then became the Vicarage after the original was refurbished and sold.

As part of the planning requirements for the new houses and garages, a metal rainwater system needed to be installed and Specialised Fixings offered ARP’s Cast Legacy Cast Aluminium Modern Ogee Gutters and Colonnade Cast Aluminium Eared Rainwater Pipes in their tender and secured the contract for the three new properties.

Legacy Cast Aluminium Modern Ogee profile gutters were specified as the most suited for this project, as the modern design and high capacity of the gutters ensure that the rainwater is easily diverted away from the property.

Both the Legacy Cast Aluminium Gutters and Colonnade downpipes were polyester powder coated (PPC) in our own purpose-built in-house PPC facility to reduce installation time on site.

ARP’s Legacy cast aluminium gutter and Colonnade down pipes were an ideal solution for this project, as they are made from a modern, natural product which is fully recyclable, but non-corrosive and offers a strong and durable system offering a functional life span of 30 years, but still affords the aesthetic qualities required for these new properties.
