Aluminium guttering products helped transform a former barn into a modern, usable building at this traditional property in Farnham.
Following the refurbishment of the main house in the previous year, the client was keen to convert the old barn into a garage and workshop in Farnham. Plans for the rainwater system were submitted, and following a site visit to discuss the details of the project and establish the positioning of the downpipes, ARP submitted a quotation.
The quotation was for Legacy plain half round cast aluminium gutters and Colonnade cast collar rainwater pipes. Both items were to be polyester powder coated (PPC) in RAL 9005 black textured leatherette finish within ARP’s in-house purpose-built powder coating facility.
David Capel, Account Manager for ARP, worked closely with the client, Mark Foster. ARP products were specified as Mark wanted a rainwater system that suited the traditional style of the property but also required a high-quality modern material with a professional finish that provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance, which was also easy to maintain.
The Legacy and Colonnade ranges from ARP, ticked all the boxes – made from aluminium, which is a strong, durable, non-corrosive and light-weight material, and offering a 30-year functional life expectancy that requires minimal maintenance, making a truly ‘fit and forget’ system.
ARP was chosen to supply the aluminium guttering system after providing the items for the main house the previous year. The client knew he could count on ARP's ability to make site visits, advise the correct quantities and ensure that the project was finished on time without any delays.
